Weekly Events in Gang Wars: Maximize Your Rewards

By Street Legends Team

Why Weekly Events Matter

Weekly events in Gang Wars: Street Legends are the single best source of premium rewards in the game. They offer exclusive gang members, rare equipment, and massive resource payouts that you simply can't get through regular gameplay. Missing events consistently means falling behind players who participate.

This guide covers every recurring event, when it happens, and how to extract maximum value from each one.

Event Schedule

Gang Wars runs on a weekly rotation with the following schedule:

| Day | Event | Duration | |-----|-------|----------| | Monday | Territory Blitz | 24 hours | | Wednesday | Boss Rush | 24 hours | | Friday | Recruitment Festival | 48 hours | | Saturday | Gang Clash | 24 hours | | Sunday | Supply Run | 12 hours |

Events start and end at midnight UTC. Set a reminder so you don't miss the window.

Territory Blitz (Monday)

What It Is

All territory-related activities are boosted: conquest costs less energy, defense bonuses are doubled, and territory income is increased by 50%.

Strategy

  • Collect all territory income before the event starts — The 50% boost only applies to income generated during the event
  • Launch conquests you've been planning — The reduced energy cost means you can take 40% more territory than usual
  • Upgrade territory buildings — Some upgrades cost less during the Blitz
  • Don't neglect defense — Other players also take advantage of the Blitz to attack. Fortify before expanding.

Rewards

  • Bonus cash from territory income (50% boost)
  • Territory Blitz tokens (trade for exclusive items in the event shop)
  • Milestone rewards for conquering X territories during the event

Priority Milestones

The milestone at 5 territories conquered is always the most efficient — it usually offers a rare piece of equipment. The higher milestones require significantly more effort for incrementally better rewards, so focus on the first few unless you're a hardcore player.

Boss Rush (Wednesday)

What It Is

A gauntlet of boss fights with escalating difficulty. You fight a series of bosses back-to-back, and your performance is scored based on speed, damage dealt, and members lost.

Strategy

  • Bring your best team — Boss Rush doesn't let you swap members between fights, so your starting squad needs to handle everything
  • Manage health and abilities — You carry health and cooldowns between fights. Don't blow everything on the first boss
  • Know the boss order — The rotation changes weekly, but you can check the preview before entering. Plan your consumable usage accordingly
  • Survival beats speed — Your score takes a bigger hit from losing members than from slow clears. Play safe

Rewards

  • Boss Rush tokens (exclusive shop items)
  • Scaling cash and XP based on how far you progress
  • Top 100 leaderboard rewards (exclusive cosmetics and rare members)
  • Guaranteed rare equipment drop from the final boss

Tips for Higher Scores

  • A Medic is non-negotiable for Boss Rush. Sustained healing across multiple fights is essential
  • Bring consumables that restore ability cooldowns — these are more valuable here than raw damage items
  • If you wipe on a boss, you can retry from that boss (but with a score penalty). Sometimes it's worth retrying to avoid the member-lost penalty

Recruitment Festival (Friday-Saturday)

What It Is

A 48-hour event with boosted recruitment rates, discounted recruitment costs, and limited-time exclusive members added to the recruitment pool.

Strategy

  • Save your recruitment currency all week — Blow it during the Festival for maximum value
  • Check the exclusive members first — Some Festival-exclusive members are meta-defining. Know what you're aiming for
  • Do the guaranteed pulls — After a certain number of recruitments, you're guaranteed a rare or higher member. Plan your spending to hit these pity thresholds
  • Don't chase specific members obsessively — If you've spent your budget, stop. There will be more Festivals

Rewards

  • Higher chance of rare, epic, and legendary members
  • Festival-exclusive members (some never return)
  • Recruitment milestone rewards (bonus currency, items, and guaranteed rare pulls)
  • Discounted premium recruitment

Budget Management

Set a budget before the Festival starts and stick to it. The psychological pull of "just one more" recruitment is strong. A reasonable budget for free-to-play players is whatever premium currency you've accumulated that week plus the free tickets from daily quests.

Gang Clash (Saturday)

What It Is

A PvP tournament where your gang fights other players' gangs in a bracket-style competition. Matchmaking is based on your gang's total power level.

Strategy

  • Optimize your PvP team — PvP meta is different from PvE. Shadows and Strategists tend to be more valuable in PvP
  • Scout opponents — You can preview your opponent's team before the fight. Counter their composition with your team selection
  • Timing matters — Gang Clash has limited attempts. Don't waste early attempts on strong opponents if you can target easier matchups first
  • Defense wins tournaments — In PvP, the player who loses fewer members usually wins the overall bracket

Rewards

  • Gang Clash tokens (trade for exclusive PvP equipment and cosmetics)
  • Cash and respect based on tournament placement
  • Top 50 rewards include exclusive titles and legendary equipment
  • Win streak bonuses for consecutive victories

PvP Team Building

The strongest PvP compositions in the current meta:

  1. Control comp — 2 Strategists, 1 Shadow, 1 Medic, 1 Bruiser. Lock down the enemy while your Shadow picks off threats.
  2. Burst comp — 3 Shadows, 1 Strategist, 1 Medic. Overwhelm the opponent before they can react.
  3. Stall comp — 2 Bruisers, 2 Medics, 1 Strategist. Outlast the enemy through sheer sustain. Wins by timeout.

Supply Run (Sunday)

What It Is

A time-limited mission chain where you complete special missions for bonus supplies, equipment, and crafting materials. The missions are harder than normal but the rewards per energy spent are significantly better.

Strategy

  • Save energy for Sunday — If you can bank energy from Saturday, you'll have more runs available
  • Focus on the missions that drop what you need — Each Supply Run mission has specific loot tables. Check them before spending energy
  • Bring a versatile team — Supply Run missions have varied challenges. A balanced team handles everything
  • Complete the bonus objectives — Each mission has optional bonus objectives that significantly increase rewards

Rewards

  • Rare crafting materials
  • Equipment upgrade materials
  • Supply crates with random high-value loot
  • Bonus objectives reward premium currency

Event Shop

Most events award tokens that can be spent in the event shop. Event shop management is crucial:

Priority Purchases

  1. Limited-time exclusive items — These leave when the event ends and may never return
  2. Rare crafting materials — Usually cheaper here than anywhere else
  3. Premium currency — If available, always buy premium currency from event shops
  4. Equipment — Only if it's an upgrade over your current gear
  5. Consumables — Buy these last; they're available from other sources

Token Banking

Some events share a token type across weeks. If this week's shop doesn't have anything you need, save your tokens for next week's rotation.

Seasonal Events

Beyond weekly events, Gang Wars runs seasonal events lasting 2-4 weeks:

  • Summer Turf War — Large-scale territory event with seasonal-exclusive rewards
  • Halloween Heist — Special story missions with horror-themed content
  • Winter Showdown — PvP-focused event with exclusive winter cosmetics
  • Anniversary Event — The most generous event of the year. Always participate in this one

Event Calendar Tips

  • Set reminders — Missing a 12-hour event window means missing it entirely
  • Plan your week — Save resources (energy, currency, consumables) for the events you prioritize
  • Check patch notes — Event schedules occasionally change with updates
  • Join the community — Other players share strategies, optimal routes, and event tips

Common Event Mistakes

  • Ignoring events entirely — Even casual participation yields significant rewards
  • Spending all resources before events — Always keep a reserve for weekly events
  • Playing events last-minute — Starting a 24-hour event in the final hours means rushing and making mistakes
  • Chasing leaderboard rankings — Top ranks are for whales. Focus on milestone rewards instead

Maximizing F2P Event Value

Free-to-play players can get enormous value from events by:

  1. Banking premium currency from daily quests for the Recruitment Festival
  2. Hitting early milestones in every event (these have the best reward-to-effort ratio)
  3. Completing bonus objectives in Supply Runs
  4. Participating in Gang Clash even without a perfect PvP team (participation rewards are generous)
